christian formation at christ episcopal church
Christian Formation, our life-long spiritual learning, engages us in the search to discover God’s presence in our lives. It involves the fellowship of the community, learning about the Bible, the Sacraments, the structure of the Episcopal Church, and our response to a world in need. We learn more about God in response to God’s overwhelming love for us.
Christ Episcopal Church believes that everyone is constantly being formed into a closer image of Christ. Therefore, we “continue in the apostles teaching and fellowship” as our baptismal covenant requires of us. Christ calls us to grow spiritually and to pass on our knowledge to others.
Our classes encompass all aspects of faith and life, and we offer knowledge, community, and growth through action. Our topics are presented on a rotating basis and include:
- Getting to Know the Episcopal Church
- Bible Studies
- Community Action
- The Sacramental Life
- Ethics
- Theology
- Spirituality
We offer these classes to both children and adults. Our classes begin in early September and continue through May. A shortened summer schedule provides more opportunities through June, July and August. |
