Solo Flight - A Ministry of Singles
Singles are an important part of Christ Episcopal Church. Twenty-two percent of parish households have a single individual listed as “head of household.” Solo Flight utilizes its five “gateways to ministry” to offer singles of all ages a variety of opportunities to connect with one another, serve the world, and grow spiritually. Whether you are single, divorced, or widowed, whether you live alone or have children at home, there’s a place for you in Solo Flight.
Come join us and together we’ll soar.
Gateways
Worship Gateway - Invites individuals to gather at the 5:30 p.m. service on the first Sunday of each month, and following worship orchestrates a “Dutch treat” at a local restaurant. This gateway also plans and executes Christ Church’s annual Singles Sunday.
Social/Recreational Gateway - Organizes monthly social events, as well as “Solo Socials” at local “watering holes” on the third Monday evening of each month.
Educational Gateway - Offers regular classes, courses and retreats addressing the specific needs of singles: spiritual, psychological, and everyday.
Outreach Gateway - Facilitates opportunities to reach out to those around us—at the beach, in the city, throughout the country, and around the world.
Divorce Recovery Gateway - Provides periodic series of workshops, staffed with professional facilitators, to support men and women as they navigate the pain, heartache, and confusion of divorce.
