After 20 years worshiping at the Serenata Beach Club, the congregation of Christ Church Serenata is on the move! Sunday, January 30 will mark the final service at the club.

This dedicated worshiping community will begin meeting February 6 in the North Shores Improvement Association Community Center, at 120 Meadow Avenue in Vilano Beach. Inspired by the building’s site nestled in a small stand of scrub oaks, they will reimagine themselves as Christ Church Among the Oaks.

This move will introduce Christ Church to young families, new homeowners and visitors in South Ponte Vedra and Vilano Beach. “This is a new, exciting chapter in the life of the church, and I am looking forward to seeing the people of Christ Church Among the Oaks spread their wings for the good of the Gospel” said Fr. Tom Reeder.

The Rev. Sandy Tull serves as Vicar, and as a member of the servant board Steve Harrison will continue to assist with logistics and coordination with “the big church” after his retirement March 1.

From their new location “the little church that lives to give” continue their outreach to the Council on Aging, St. Gerard’s Campus, St. Francis House and Port in the Storm, Learn to Read, Pie in the Sky, and South Woods Elementary School in Hastings. “We look forward to our continuing commitment with our ministry partners through loving God and our neighbor” said Mother Sandy.

Join us in congratulating the worshiping community of Christ Church Among the Oaks as they enter this new phase of their lives together.
